At Ebenezer Community College (ECC), we pride ourselves on supporting all learners towards personal and economic freedom. Every learner matters, and we focus on the needs and strengths of each individual. We transform lives, knowledge and understanding through exceptional education, skills and training and working to ensure barriers to education are removed.

At ECC we specialise in providing education and training to adult learners (19+). We work closely and in partnership with others to provide a wrap around approach that seeks to develop and empower the whole person. Our role is to build confidence using education as a springboard onto Employability and financial freedom.

goals whilst establishing a reputation for Professionalism, Quality and Service.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people by making higher education accessible to all. We encourage our learners to continue along the path of lifelong learning and challenge them to be positive role models that profoundly impact both their direct and broader communities.

Ebenezer Community College operates within an inclusive, supportive and communal environment. We have a culture of high expectation, and our learner-centred approach provides a conducive environment for learners to achieve and thrive. Our learners gain enhanced confidence, mindset, and skills to embrace new challenges and opportunities through attaining educational goals.


 

Our history

The history of the college began in 1991, Ebenezer which means “Stone of Help” was first known as Ebenezer Welfare Centre (EWC) and was established by members of the African community in response to the needs of asylum seekers and refugees in 1991. The charity was founded to be a safe haven and support for refugees, asylum seekers within the community.

In 2003, the centre moved with the changing times and re-registered a new name as Ebenezer Community Learning Centre providing education, training and support to vulnerable adults and disadvantaged communities living within and around Haringey (North London). Then in 2017 To reflect our change, partnerships and delivery of further and higher education/academic qualification registered to Ebenezer Community College.

Ebenezer Community College (ECC) is located in seven sisters, North London. The college was established in 2003 by the founder Mr Osei Kwateng. ECC has been through a journey of change and development over the years.
