Certificate for Children & Young People’s Workforce (CYP) 3
Who is this for?
The qualification is aimed at individuals who are already working or about to work in a wide range of settings focused on children & young people in roles such as Foster Carer, Care Worker, Education Welfare Officer, Learning Mentor, Youth and Community Worker.
What will I study?
The Certificate in CYP is made up of mandatory and optional units.
To achieve the level 3 qualification, you are required to complete a minimum of 65 credits made up of : 27 credits from the mandatory Group A of units. You must select one mandatory pathway from Groups C, D or E.
Learners selecting Group C (Early Learning and Childcare pathway) must achieve 22 credits.
Learners selecting Group D (Social Care pathway) must achieve 13 credits.
Learners selecting Group E (Learning, Development and Support Services pathway) must achieve 13 credits.
The remaining credits must be achieved from Group F.

What are the entry requirements?
Working experience as a Senior Practitioner in health or Level 2 certificate in Health Social or equivalent. Applicants must have achieved level 1 in English

How long is the Course?
The course is for 9 – 12 months.
The delivery of the qualification is made up of online and classroom delivery with 2 day per week compulsory work placement
