Certificate for Children & Young People’s Workforce (CYP) 2
Who is this for?
The qualification is aimed at individuals who are already working or about to work in a supporting role within a Nursery, Crèche or in education.
What will I study?
The Certificate in CYP is made up of mandatory and optional units.
To achieve the level 2 qualification, you are required to complete a minimum of 35 credits made up of:- Group A, 29 Mandatory credits and a minimum 6 credits from optional units

Introduction to Personal Development in Health, Social Care or Children & and Young People’s Settings
Introduction to Equality and Inclusion in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s Settings
Child and Young Person Development
Contribute to the Support of Child and Young Person Development
Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People
Contribute to Children and Young People’s Health and Safety Support Children and Young People’s Positive Behaviour
Contribute to the Support of Positive Environments for Children and Young People
Understand Partnership Working in Services for Children and Young People
Maintain and Support Relationships with Children and Young People

Applicants must have achieved level 1 in English

How long is the Course?
The course is for 9 months.
The delivery of the qualification is made up of online and classroom delivery with 1-day per week compulsory work placement
