Internal Quality Assurance Qualification
Who is it for?
The Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) is a level 4 qualification, ideal for individuals who are in and/ or wish to go into quality assurance and monitoring of educational qualifications. The IQA qualification develops learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding of the quality assurance processes surrounding internal assessments, monitoring visits, how to lead and manage teams of teachers, assessors and trainers.
The different pathways:
Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process
and Practice. This unit is knowledge-based and provides an entry point into internal quality assurance processes. It is ideal for candidates who need to gain insight into the quality assurance processes but not necessarily to carry out IQA activity.Award in the Internal Quality Assurance Processes and Practice. This qualification is intended for those who conduct quality assurance of internally assessed qualifications on the behalf of organisations.
Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - (Full Award). This qualification is intended for practitioners who on lead and manage the internal quality assurance processes on behalf of organisations. It develops understanding of managing the assessment process and the performance of the assessment.
How long will the course last?
The full course will be delivered over 4 workshops.
Students will be given up to 6 months to submit all necessary paperwork
*All evidence must be collated and signed off within 6 months
What are the entry requirements?
The applicant must have a level 3 or above in their area of competence and have experience in training and assessing within the work environment or classroom setting
