Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement –Assessors Award (also known as TAQA)
Who is it for?
This qualification is ideal for individuals who are in and/ or wish to go into education and training. The assessor’s qualification helps learners to understand the assessment process and the quality assurance around teaching, learning and assessment processes.
The different pathways:
Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement - (Full Award).
This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work place (for example workshop, classroom and other training environments).Award in Assessing Vocational Related Achievement. This qualification is intended for those who assess vocational skills knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom, or other training environment).
Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. This qualification is intended for those who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment.
How long will the course last?
The course will be delivered over 3 workshops.
Students will be given up to 6 months to submit all necessary paperwork
*All evidence must be collated within and signed off within 6 months
What are the entry requirements?
The applicant must have a level 3 or above in their area of competence and have experience in training and assessing with the work environment or classroom setting.
