After submission comes feedback.....

You spend days, weeks and sometimes months working on an assignment. You give it your all, sweat blood and tears. The assignment is eventually submitted. Then what?

What type of learner are you? Do you -

·    Submit your work and never look back?

·    Receive the results. Phew! I passed! Move on?

·    Wait in anticipation for feedback and reflect upon it?

The role of an educator is to impart knowledge, challenge your way of thinking, heighten your taste buds for continuous learning and lay a foundation of new concepts and understanding.

Feedback is a vital key to your learning experience. Educators are required to give objective, constructive, developmental feedback that challenges you to seek areas of improvement. The key words are – ‘Developmental Feedback.’

This provides you, the learner, with the opportunity to reflect on what went well and what didn't go so well.

It’s important to know that future submissions can get better if you take on board the nuggets that will guide you to improve the previous submission/grade.

The feedback can only work for you if you read it with understanding, reflect upon it and take appropriate action without taking matters personally.
